In your hearts

“‘If Allaah knows any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you’”
~ Surat ul-Anfaal, 8:70

Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-’Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) says:
When Allaah knows that there is good in a person’s heart, He gives him good. Allaah, ta’aala, said: {O Prophet (Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)), say to the captives that are in your hands: If Allaah knows any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you, and Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful}. So rectify your heart between you and Allaah, and you will find all good.”

Shaykh Sultaan bin ‘Abd ir-Rahmaan al-’Eed (hafidhahullaah) says:
“Slaves of Allaah, don’t let your hearts attach to any sin, and know that whoever leaves something for the sake of Allaah, then Allaah will replace it with something better, {If Allaah knows any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you}.”

There are ten signs of good manners

  2. Listening well;
  3. Avoiding searching for shortcomings;
  4. Covering mistakes;
  5. Finding excuse;
  6. Patience when annoyed;
  7. Blaming one’s own self;
  8. Seeing one’s own faults rather than other people’s faults;
  9. Having a beaming face with the young and the old;
  10. Saying kind words to those who are below and above one (with regards to religious knowledge, righteousness, social status, and so forth).”
